I’ve added an article from the new ABC Soaps In Depth (July 12 issue) recommending that Port Charles be resurrected:
http://horrorvacui.us/MichaelEastonCommunity/MichaelEastonFanTributeArticles54.html
The 5-page article, comparing and contrasting Port Charles and Twilight, makes the point that we in the Revive Port Charles campaign have been emphasizing, that, given the popularity of vampire-themed shows, now, more than ever, the time is right for a Port Charles return.
Please show your support for Port Charles by writing to ABC Soaps In Depth and thanking the magazine for this article.

Michael’s Web mistress, Kathy de Armond, urges those of you who have read Soul Stealer 3 to leave reviews of it at the Amazon site:

There’s a message on Michael’s site about how to help the Gulf region devastated by the oil spill:

Please donate to one or more of these organizations. I have already donated to the Greater New Orleans Foundation and International Bird Rescue Research Center and regularly donate to the  National Wildlife Federation.Â

ABC/Soapnet is featuring new Webisodes with characters from various soaps interacting in fantasy scenarios. The following is a YouTube clip from one of the upcoming Webisodes, this one with Michael Easton and Kelly Monaco. In the background, if you freeze the frame, you can see an advertisement for Caleb and Livvie:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_F0ppkkCU6k
The Webisodes will air sometime this summer.Â
To help promote the Revive Port Charles campaign, perhaps we can write to ABC and SoapNet executives thanking them for the Webisode reference to Caleb and Livvie. We can then suggest that Port Charles be revived in some form (night-time series, miniseries, or even a made-for-TV movie) with Michael Easton as Caleb and Kelly Monaco as Livvie, as well as other Port Charles favorites, portrayed by their original actors.

Kudos to “It’s Only My Opinion” columnist Carolyn Hinsey for her
reference to Port Charles in the June 6, 2010 Soap Opera Digest“
Commenting on the One Life to Live teen musical and the current
popularity of vampires, Hinsey writes, “ABC Daytime has been on the
front end of the two biggest crazes, teen glee clubs and vampires.
Sadly, they didn’t stick with the original Edward Cullen: Michael Easton
on PC, No big deal–it’s not like the Twilight series sold over 80million books or anything.”
Please try to keep the Revive Port Charles campaign going–mention Carolyn Hinsey’s comment when submitting
postcards, letters, e-mails, etc. to ABC executives and promote interest in Port Charles by posting about it in
soap opera sites, as well as sites focusing on supernatural TV shows, movies, and fiction.
By the way, in case you have been concerned about the sudden disappearance of Juliet’s beautiful Michael
Easton/Caleb Morley tribute site on MySpace, please be assured that Juliet pledges to re-create that site. It had been hacked
into and deleted, much to the dismay of all those who loved that site, Port Charles, and Caleb. But it, like Caleb, will be
resurrected. It will live again, eternally resplendent.
Keep the faith. Help keep Port Charles alive. Help bring it back to our TV screens, beginning with reruns of Port Charles’ supernatural storylines and perhaps culminating in a revival of the series in the form of a primetime show, miniseries, or TV movie featuring
Caleb, as portrayed by Michael Easton, Livvie, as portrayed by Kelly Monaco, and our other Port Charles favorites, portrayed
by their original actors.
Long live Port Charles!
