Hey Vampire Fanged Fans!
GREAT NEWS! The national soap magazine, Soap Opera Weekly, has taken our Campaign under its wing and posted a letter quote from Alison Armstrong (creator of campaign)! We are really starting to get the attention that we need, and ALL OF YOUR HARD WORK IS PAYING OFF! YAY! WOO-HOO!
PLEASE keep mailing out those Letters AND Postcard/Flyers! Pick up the pace if you can. The harder we hit ABC & the magazines now, the MORE attention we will get. And SOON ABC WILL HAVE TO MAKE SOME SORT OF PUBLIC RESPONSE TO OUR CAMPAIGN!! So smile and pat yourself on the back today, for you ALL ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE!

Hey Everybody!
I hope the Campaign is going good for you as it is with me. Please keep those letters going to ABC and/or the selected Magazines! You can Mail and/or E-mail the Letters/Postcards/Flyers as attachments, whichever you prefer to do. The main point is to keep the momentum going and to send out those Letters & Postcards so that they keep piling up on those VIP’s desks!
It’s imperative that we keep this Campaign going until we here word, in one form or another, whether ABC will or will not be bringing Port Charles back to television. I hope they are as smart as I know they are, for they have an Ace sitting in their pocket, which would bring A LOT of revenue to their pockets with Port Charles back on the air! If we know this, surely they must too!

DETROIT EXAMINER WRITES, “WHERE’S PORT CHARLES?!”
“With The Vampire Diaries staking its way to the small screen on the CW in several weeks, vampires have been taking a bite of moviegoers with Twilight and on cable with HBO’s True Blood, there’s just one question: where in the world is Port Charles?
When it first aired on ABC in 1997, PC was originally a spin-off of General Hospital: following young medical interns both in and out of the hospital while learning the ropes of being a doctor, a nurse, and a parademic. But, in the winter of 2000, the writers and producers decided to change the format with 13-week storylines known as telenovelas, in which there is an beginning, a middle, and an end. Then, in the summer of 2001, the show brought in new blood (so to speak) with their fourth book Tainted Love.
Named after the classic 1981 song from Soft Cell, the book introduced soap fans to powerful and sexy vampire Caleb Morley (Michael Easton, One Life to Live), and Port Charles went on to become the new Dark Shadows filled with angels, werewolves, and vampire slayers. The books of PC — Tempted, Miracles Happen, Secrets, Superstitution, Torn, Naked Eyes, Surrender, Desire, and The Gift — deals with stories of the constant struggle between good and evil and star-crossed romances with forbidden triangles.
Sadly, PC was cancelled in the fall of 2003 due to low ratings — ending on a cliffhanger with the double wedding of supercouples Rafe & Alison (Rali) and Caleb & Olivia (Calivia), as Alison became pregnant with Caleb’s child. If I was one of the PC writers, I’d start with resolving the whole “Alison is pregnant with Caleb’s baby”, and how it will affect not only her newlywed marrriage to Rafe, but also Caleb and Olivia, who must deal with the ramifications of her actions that led to this. Rather than go to her father, Olivia decides to confide in Jack, who tries to keep his distance from her. Though angered at his ex for what she’s done, Jack can’t help but offer an sympathetic ear, as he must decide between telling Alison & Rafe the truth or trying to help Olivia and protect her from Caleb — and herself, and what happens next will never be the same for all of them. I’d continue with Jamal finally finding out the truth about Imani, as the couple struggle whether they can be together, since one is a vampire and the other is a werewolf, while both Ian & Lucy and Ricky & Casey resolve to be happy.
Though it continues to develop a strong following, Port Charles would have better ratings if remain on the air today. Now that vampires are taking over films and television, there’s no time like now to bring it back as a better alternative to mob-driven GH and a remake of Let’s Make a Deal.”

Halloween is just a mere 4 weeks away, and it is time to put some Fangtastic Campaign Letters/Postcards/Flyers together to mail/e-mail out to ABC & selected Magazines!
Below I have made some Halloween fun Postcards & Flyers that you can print out and add to your letters, or just mail as is; OR you can, also, send these as an attachment to your E-mail notes to ABC & selected Magazines (please see “Campaign Detail Blog” for names and addresses).
Another fun idea is not only to purchase the “Resurrect Port Charles” Buttons from TS1Creations.com, but to, also, purchase those inexpensive plastic fangs to add to your letters, OR just simply mail them as is with a small note that says, “Resurrect Port Charles.” Yet another great Halloween “treat” is to mail out Purple OR White Taper Candles that have etched in the wax, “Resurrect Port Charles,” or just a note that states the Campaign name.
Whether you use the above ideas, or you come up with some other “sweet Halloween treat” idea for the Campaign, is up to you and your creative mind! If you have any awesome ideas, please pass them onto me through an Inbox Note, and I will post these ideas in another Blog. But do get these ideas to me A.S.A.P. so that I can post them well ahead of Halloween. Thank You!

RESURRECT PORT CHARLES GETS NOTICED IN MAJOR SOAP MAGAZINE!
WOO-HOO! It is JUST what this Campaign needed to get ABC’s attention, and that was to have our campaign noticed from Soap Digest Insider! The following is the scoop as to what was posted in the magazine:
‘An interesting campaign to “Revive Port Charles” came in. Fans write, “Given the current popularity of vampire-themed TV shows and movies …the timing is perfect for a return of Port Charles and its sublimely seductive Caleb Morley, beautifully portrayed by Michael Easton.’
EVERYONE DESERVES TO CELEBRATE THIS FIRST HURDLE THAT WE ACCOMPLISHED! AND A BIG CHEER TO ALISON ARMSTRONG WHO STARTED THIS CAMPAIGN OVER A YEAR AGO!
Alison and I would like to Thank EVERYONE who is writing in to ABC AND selected Magazines to Resurrect Port Charles!
