New Campaign Details – Resurrect Port Charles!

Welcome to the New Campaign that supports efforts to bring back a beloved show to television on ABC. The new campaign is called, “Resurrect Port Charles,” details of the campaign are listed below.

This campaign is about you and your desire to see Port Charles return. It’s about fans from Port Charles to fans of Twilight, True Blood, Vampire Diaries, and other fans who support other similar shows, who are coming together and uniting to create a Legion Of Fang Love.

This is YOUR Campaign. This is OUR Campaign. And I believe together, with all of our efforts combined, that we will make an impact to ABC, and to let them know that support for bringing back Port Charles not only comes from those who know and love that show, but from fans of other shows who because of the love they have for their show, are supporting our efforts of love for Port Charles; because they understand what it means to love a well put together show that has meaning and depth.

I feel that when you have a real passion in your soul for something and you believe in it with all your heart, that you need to give it all you got, no matter if it works out or not.

Below, you will find the details of how you can contribute to this campaign, and embrace it as your own.

Do know that approximately once a week, Alison and I will be updating the Campaign with something new added. Whether it be new Postcards or an added activity, please watch the Bulletins or check back to the Blogs for new information that will be added in the weeks to come. I am part of a Legion of Vampire Fans who united together with fans from Port Charles, Twilight, True Blood, Vampire Diaries, and other alike movie/program fans to help bring this unique, well put together show back on the air.

We are asking ABC, not only to bring Port Charles back on the air, but for the sake of many new fans, to also kick off the series with “Tainted Love,” then “Tempted,” “Naked Eyes,” “Surrender,” “Desire,” and last “The Gift,” before the new shows are aired, in order for everyone to understand where the story all began.

Resurrect Port Charles campaign

This is a letter I am sending to various Caleb, Michael Easton, and Port Charles groups, as well as to fans of vampire TV shows and movies. Please feel free to add your name and express your support.

To Port Charles fans:

What happened after Caleb married Livvie and told her the shocking truth about his infidelity with Alison? What happened when Alison, married to Rafe, found out she was pregnant but did not know whether the baby’s father was her husband or her husband’s worst enemy? What was in the scripts for all of our beloved characters, scripts written but never brought to life, waiting there in limbo after the abrupt cancellation of daytime television’s most innovative, compelling, and mesmerizingly sensual series, Port Charles?

If you would like to see the return of Caleb, Livvie, Rafe, Alison, and other Port Charles favorites in a continuation of the series, we urge you to participate in the campaign to resurrect Port Charles. We are also targeting fans of other vampire shows and movies, in particular, True Blood and Twilight, to join our campaign (additional information to be revealed Aug. 24, 2009 ). We plan to let the media, TV executives, and public know that now, with interest in supernatural themes on the rise, the timing is perfect for a Port Charles revival. We want new episodes with many (if not, all ) of the major actors (such as Michael Easton) portraying the characters they brought to life.

To fans of Twilight, True Blood, and other vampire shows:

Before Twilight, before True Blood and other recent vampire movies and TV programs, there was a daytime drama on ABC-TV featuring a seductive, charismatic, (at times, sinister) vampire and his beautiful, tempestuous, dangerously erratic soulmate. This daytime drama depicted a world of vampires, mortals, Slayers, and various supernatural beings struggling to coexist, a world of magic and intrigue, violence and passion, torment and humor, a world briefly known as Port Charles. Unfortunately, Port Charles, forced into a frequently pre-empted, half-hour time slot, was never given the chance to thrive, and though it was nominated for a Daytime Emmy, it was shortly thereafter cancelled, its storylines ending abruptly as scripts for exciting new storylines, already written, lie waiting to be filmed.

Like Edward in Twilight, Port Charles’ main vampire character, Caleb Morley (portrayed by Michael Easton) was breathtakingly handsome and alluring. Like Bill in True Blood, Caleb was romantic yet dangerous, ambivalent about his vampirism, trying to survive in a world continually persecuting his kind. Caleb was a complex, multifaceted creation, as compelling and contradictory as Heathcliff, a ruthless yet charming blend of malevolence and vulnerability.

If you crave shows featuring intense, sensual, psychologically conflicted vampires and dark supernatural intrigue, please join us in signing the pledge of support and participating in our campaign.
